Daily Recap

Write what you did.
Get it back organised.

A work journal for people who don't keep one. A line or two at the end of the day, in whatever shorthand you type on a phone. It does the filing.

Coming to the App Store A single payment. No subscription.

How it works

  1. Write a line. Or say it — ask Siri, or set two taps on the back of your phone to start dictation.
  2. It reads it. Fixes the spelling, names each thing you mentioned, and files it under a status you defined.
  3. It keeps up. Add to the same day again later and the panel merges rather than starting over. What you moved by hand stays where you put it.

What it doesn't do

No account. No sync. No analytics, no tracking, no advertising. Your days are kept on your iPhone, and deleting them deletes them — there is no copy anywhere else.

Making a recap sends that day's text to be processed and it comes back organised. Nothing is sent while you type, and nothing is kept on our side. The privacy policy says exactly what goes where.

Questions

How is it different from a notes app?

A notes app keeps what you typed. This reads it — names each thing, works out what you finished and what you left open, and holds that across days, so "what have I actually been working on?" has an answer.

Do I have to write in a particular way?

No. It expects notes typed fast on a phone. One thing per line helps, but a run-on sentence works too, which is what dictation produces.

Can I change what it decided?

Yes. Tap an item to edit it, drag it to another status, delete it. Your changes survive the next recap.

Does it work offline?

Writing and reading your days, yes. Making a recap needs a connection. If one fails, the note is already saved.

Is it a subscription?

No. A single payment.

What do I need?

An iPhone running iOS 18 or later.
