Daily Recap is made by Telmo Beroiz, a sole trader based in Spain. You can reach me at hello@dailyrecap.app. This policy describes exactly what the app does with what you write. It is short because the app does very little.

There is no account

Daily Recap has no sign-up, no login and no user profile. I do not know who you are, and there is nothing on my side connected to you.

What stays on your iPhone

Everything you write and everything the app produces is stored on your device:

• the notes you write or dictate, with the time you wrote them
• the recaps made from them
• the three context answers you give in Settings
• your statuses and app preferences

None of it is uploaded, backed up to me, or synchronised anywhere. If you have iCloud Backup switched on, your iPhone's own backup includes this app's data, in the same way it includes every other app. That backup is between you and Apple.

What leaves your iPhone, and when

Only when you ask for a recap. Pressing *Recap* sends the text of that day's notes, your three context answers, and a short summary built from your previous recaps, so a recap can be written. Nothing is sent while you type, and nothing is sent on a schedule. That request travels through a small server I run on Cloudflare Workers, which adds the API key and passes it to Google Gemini, which writes the recap.

• The Cloudflare Worker keeps no database and **does not log the contents of

your notes**, including in error logs. It exists so that the key is not inside the app, where anyone could extract it.

• Google processes the text to generate the response. Their handling is

governed by the [Gemini API Additional Terms of Service](https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms).

• I keep no copy of the text at any point.

Dictation. If you dictate a note, the audio is handled by Apple's speech recognition. Depending on your iPhone and language, that happens on the device or on Apple's servers. It never passes through my server. See Apple's privacy policy. Siri. If you add a note by voice through Siri or a shortcut, the text is written to your device first and then follows the same path as above.

What I do not do

• No analytics, telemetry or crash reporting.
• No advertising, and no tracking across apps or websites.
• No selling or sharing of anything with anyone, for any purpose.
• No profiling and no automated decisions that affect you.

Legal basis and your rights (GDPR)

Sending your note text for processing is necessary to provide the feature you asked for — the legal basis is performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)). Because there is no account, I hold no personal data about you and cannot identify, retrieve, correct or export anything on your behalf. Your data is in your hands:

• See it: it is in the app.
• Change it: edit or delete any note, item or recap.
• Erase all of it: Settings → *Delete everything and start over*, or delete

the app. Both are immediate and permanent. There is no copy elsewhere. Google and Cloudflare act as processors and may handle the request outside the European Economic Area, under the transfer safeguards in their own terms. If you believe your rights have been infringed, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

Children

Daily Recap is a tool for work and is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly process their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the previous version stays available on request.
